Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (Lib.) de Barry is a soil habitat plant pathogen, able of infecting more than five hundred host spp., all over the world and doing crucial role in reduce yield economically important crops. rot also known as stem rot, incited by S. certical disease chickpea. We done an experiment which, number fungal isolation, purification, identification pathogenicity from infected materals. The plants appear typical symptoms like drooping petioles leaflets last stage scattered sclerotial bodies. isolates observed on affected tissues after re-inoculation generate mycelial growth sclerotia both culture plates. On re-isolation it was base that fungus identical to authentic isolate. It found infection much supreme inoculated compare control.
